Hi again, everyone...

Well, so far this blog-thing is working (I won't go into the frustration over the weekend when it wasn't showing properly...)*smile*

Anyhow, I am planning to head west tomorrow and will be doing a little R & R in Glacier National Park. My only requirement is that I have access to cell phone service so I can log into my online classes. How about the rest of you? Do you find that you can take a little time for yourself (and your family) and still keep up with your online courses?

P.S. Meet Jasmine (Golden Retriever) and Sadie (English Springer Spaniel). They will be on our little outing as well, they pretty much go everywhere with us...

  1. Yes, I do take some time with my classes to travel a bit. We spend about a week in March in the blooming deserts of Arizona.
    Glacier is wonderful b.t.w. Mary

  2. I alternate -- sometimes I am on a vacation that fits well with teaching for a little while every morning and sometimes that just feels stressful. Last spring I didn't teach because my husband and I were heading off on a special vacation that I didn't want to interrupt with work.

On the other hand I just read a study somewhere that says vacations are more fun if you squeeze a little work in around the edges. :^) And laid-back vacations blend very nicely with teaching online.

  3. Mary: Glacier is absolutely beautiful right now!! I've been in the park a few times before and right now it is very green, lush, and there is still snow at the top. Of course, they've had a long winter and late spring...water is running everywhere.

Lisa: I get the frustration part...right now I'm using our old laptop as the newer one we had suffered an "accident" with our new camper (slides and laptops don't get along...) I don't mind having to work while out and about because it lets me go do things when otherwise I'd have to stay home.
